Embracing the Pantry Pandemonium
I’ve always been a fan of organization, but let’s be real – sometimes life gets a little messy, even for the most diligent of us. When my husband and I moved into our new home in Nottingham, UK last year, we were thrilled to discover a spacious walk-in pantry. Little did we know, it was hiding a dark secret – a serious mold issue that needed some serious TLC.

Remember that mold-ridden pantry I mentioned earlier? Well, it turns out that over the years, it had become a veritable black hole of expired goods, lost lids, and general disarray. I started by emptying the entire pantry, grouping like items together and tossing anything that had long since passed its expiration date. It was a cathartic, yet slightly daunting process, but I was determined to create a space that would bring me joy every time I set foot in it.

I supplemented these with a few sturdy plastic containers for the items my kids tend to reach for most often.
